I’ve ended up working in HR through a long and winded but unwavering road built on introspection and sudden realizations.
And recently, I’ve had multiple wonderful opportunities to speak 1-on-1 with different levels of HR professionals from different sub-departments in the company and I must say... how hilarious it is... that no matter what level of HR you are in... the mentality is and always will be:
“We never know what’s going to happen. We just kind of deal with it. Then we try to come up with something so that BY GOD that horrendous thing never happens again.”
Ah. So we’re right on track on that long and continuous career road, I see. 😅
